Can I cut this open? Is it theft-resistant?
Lokko isn’t about making the fabric uncuttable; it’s about making the helmet unstealable. The outer cover keeps your helmet dry, while the integrated lock inside secures the helmet directly to your bike. Even if someone tried to slash the cover, the helmet itself would still be locked to the frame. Ofcourse with heavy equipment you can steal everyting unfortunatley. We would advise to use Lokko for everywhere you go, but during the night for example just take it inside.
How does the integrated lock work?
Inside the bag there’s a built-in locking point that lets you fix the helmet to your bike (e.g., through a vent or strap opening) and attach it to the frame or rack. You close the rain cover over it so the helmet stays secured and protected.
Does it fit every helmet?
Lokko is designed for bicycle helmets in common sizes. Most commuting and e-bike helmets fit. Full-face or unusually large helmets may not fit perfectly.
(Quick rule: if your helmet has a vent or opening the lock can pass through, it will almost always work.)
Is it waterproof?
The cover is water-resistant and keeps your helmet dry in typical rain. In long, heavy downpours, a little moisture may occur—store with vents down for best results and shake off excess water before opening.
Can I use Lokko with non-bike helmets (scooter, skate, ski)?
Lokko is optimized for bicycle helmets. If a non-bike helmet has an opening (a vent or the chin-strap loop) the lock can go through, it may work—just note the fit may be less snug.
Will Lokko fit my folding bike / e-bike / cargo bike?
Yes. Lokko attaches to the helmet, not the bike model. You lock the helmet to any solid section of the frame or rack.
Is the lock “high-security”?
It’s designed for everyday, opportunistic-theft prevention of helmets. Use a separate bike lock for securing your bicycle itself.
Will it fit children’s helmets?
Most youth helmets fit if they have vents or a strap loop for the lock. Lokko is designed for all types of helmets.
